The Tredegar Society of the American Civil War Museum presents the following upcoming events

Thursday, September 11, 2014- The Election of 1864.  

Gary Gallagher, John L. Nau III Professor in the History of the American Civil War at the University of Virginia, will give a lecture as part of the Tredegar Society's Education Event series on September 11, 2014.  Gallagher has garnered numerous honors for his work and is regarded is one of the leading Civil War historians in America today.  Dr. Gallagher's lecture will focus on the Election of 1864. Tickets are $12 and include beer, wine and light hors d’oeurves.

Thursday, October 9, 2014- Writing and Producing "Field of Lost Shoes"
Thomas F. Farrell II, the Chairman, President, and CEO of Dominion Resources will discuss the production of the feature film "Field of Lost Shoes," which depicts the VMI cadets at the Battle of New Market. 

Thursday, October 30, 2014- William & Mary & the Civil War.
W. Taylor Reveley, President of the College of William and Mary and John Stewart Bryan, Professor of Jurisprudence at W&M School of Law will speak on the college during the Civil War years.
